290304 - CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers - Blended Learning
This purpose of this American Red Cross training course is to teach professional-level rescuers the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies. Topics covered in this training course include CPR and AED for Adult, Children, and Infants; use of a pocket mask; use of a Bag-Valve-Mask (BVM); and two-rescuer CPR. This course does not cover First Aid skills. After successful completion of this course participants will receive an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers certification card this is valid for 2 years.
This section of CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers is offered in the blended learning format where participants will take a portion of the class online and a portion of the class in person; the online portion of the class must be completed at last 3 days prior to the in-class session of the course. Approximately two weeks prior to the classroom session, participants will receive an e-mail with a link to online portion of the class through the American Red Cross website.
Note about class fees: For blended learning registrations, a portion of the fee will be paid when enrolling with University Recreation and Well-Being. The other portion of the fee will be paid when registering with the American Red Cross online training site.
Note: This course does not include First Aid skills.
PLEASE NOTE: this class does NOT fulfill the School of Health Sciences Requirements.
The 2.0 hours of online training must be completed prior to 11:59pm April 5, 20176; print and bring with you to classroom session the proof of completion.
